Seventeen seconds. One timeout.
You trail 20–21 at the opponent’s 28-yard line. It is third down, the clock is running and a field goal can win. Make the next call.

How this teaching model works
This is a fixed clock-budget exercise, not a real NFL prediction. Kicks here are always good and take 5 seconds; the sideline pass always gains 7 yards and takes 6 seconds. A running-clock huddle costs 15 additional seconds. The opponent has no timeouts. The exercise ends when you kick, the clock expires or you use fourth down. Other plans can also win.
